Alaska Mountaineering School

This is my third, custom site build for AMS in over 20 years. This version focused on implementing a responsive design for best possible display and functionality across devices and platforms, and was built on the Wordpress foundation to allow a degree of editing in-house. Search engine optimization (SEO) and Wordpress security were implemented to the highest current standards.

Lake Gardens Apartments

Custom site design and hand-coded build for the newly constructed, Green Built Hammer Award winning apartment building in the Green Lake neighborhood of Seattle, Wa. The site emphasized ease of mobile use for potential renters and extensive imagery to showcase the high-end featurues of the building and beauty of this fun, historic neighborhood.

Benjamin Chotzen, Realtor

This is my third, custom site design and build for Benjamin in 19 years. This version focused on implementing a responsive design for best possible display and functionality across devices and platforms as well as use of bigger images to better highlight the high-end homes of his clients.

Fremont Peak Flats

Custom site design and hand-coded build for the remodeled luxury apartments Fremont Peak Flats in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, Wa. The site emphasized ease of mobile use for potential renters and extensive imagery to showcase the high-end featurues of the building and beauty of this fun, historic neighborhood.

Rohleder Borges Architecture

This is my second custom redesign for Rohleder Borges with the latest version emphasizing the beauty of their work in large-scale images and a responsive, hand-coded build to make their site as useful as possible to their clients on any device or platform.

Brenda Miller, Author

This is a full redesign and heavily customized Wordpress build for Dr. Brenda Miller to help her branch out from teaching college courses to offering private mentoring and coaching for writers. The site is intended to showcase her past work, make it easy for potential clients to see what she offers and then fascilitate contacting her for further info. A colorful pallette and quotes from her work were used to enhance the site aesthetic. Search engine optimization (SEO) and Wordpress security were implemented to the highest current standards.

Fire District 21

This was a Wordpress customized website for Alrington, WA rural Fire District 21 done in responsive code to make the site display well across devices and platforms. The Wordpress backend allowed most updates to be done internally. Search engine optimization (SEO) and Wordpress security were implemented to the highest current standards. The site is maintained and has recently been redesigned internally.

Sarge's Veteran Support

Designed and built for Sarge's Veteran Support to better represent this non-profit, help them to more efficiently collect donations to support the veterans of Clallam and Jefferson Counties in Washington state, and help local veterans better find and utilize their services. The site was built responsively for best possible display and functionality across devices and platforms and used large format images to better illustrate the services, work and impact of Sarge's Veteran Support.

Sound Medicine & Wellness

Seattle physician Dr. Emily Larmore Cooper needed a web presence for her new, private practice. The site built for her is a responsive, hand-coded, custom parallax design to offer intuitively-organized reference information for her current and potential patients.

Tiger of the Snows Fund

A responsive, Wordpress custom website to help raise funds to facilitate education for workers involved in outdoor tourism and their families in under-served communities. The Wordpress platform allows updates to be done by the client, and PayPal integrated funding simplifies collecting donations. Built in 2015 and has been managed internally.

International Mountain Guides

Three custom designs and hand-coded builds were done for this company in over 20 years. The latest version focused on implementing hand-coded, responsive design for best possible display and functionality across devices and platforms, as well as highlighting photo images in as large a scale as possible without overwhelming use of bandwidth. A wordpress blog element was designed and implemented to allow office staff to post updates.

Because the previous versions of the website had also been designed and built by me and had been coded cleanly, ten years later I was able to accomplish the responsive redesign exclusively in the CSS. After extensive recoding, the full redesign was accomplished with dozens of carefully executed search and replace coding updates site-wide around the existing content, thus saving the client a great deal of time and expense.

For over two decades, I also maintained the entire website single-handedly making all updates and additions while office staff managed posts on the Wordpress blog. After the retirement of three partners, the remaining partner chose to cut expenses, so the site is now being maintained internally.

Custom, responsive website with a Wordpress component so that frequently updated content like specials and rates can be edited internally.
